Math Teacher
I graduated from Farnington High School located in Farmington, New Mexico in 1997. I then attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico and earned my BS in Math Education in 2001, followed by my MA in Curriculum and Instruction in 2004.
This is my first year teaching at Burlington High School and also my first year in the district. I am teaching Algebra 1, Applied Math, Foundations of Algebra, and Foundations of Technology.
This is my 18th year in education – this is my fourteenth year as a teacher, and I spent four years as an instructional coach. Prior to teaching here, I worked for USD 257, the ANW Cooperative, and at a 6A high school in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
I am married to my husband, Danny. We were married in September of 2006. We have four daughters – Bailey who is 10, Sydney who is 8, Tinley is 6, and Avery is 3. They go to school with me here in Burlington at the middle school, elementary, and pre-school.
We have two dogs, Thor and Sage. We also have 3 cats, Velma, Daphne, and Mama Kitty. We have several chickens and two cows – Suzie Q and Jade.
My hobbies are crafting, dancing, farming, gardening, and anything outdoors. I like to fish and camp with my family. When I’m not teaching, I’m usually running my girls around to activities, working on a home improvement project, or farming.
