Graduated from Emporia State University in 2018
B.Sc.Ed. in Physical Education
This will be my first year teaching and I could not be more excited to be a part of the USD 244 staff!
Although this will be my first year teaching, I was the assistant middle school track coach, as well as the assistant high school volleyball coach, for North Lyon County while attending Emporia State University.
I live in rural Olpe and have a 100 pound yellow lab, Hux!
I grew up in Madison and my parents still reside in the rural Madison area. My mom is an RN and the Nurse Manager at the Tyson plant in Emporia. My dad is a carpenter and has worked at Mark II Lumber in Emporia for 20+ years, along with doing many side jobs including coaching, carpentry work and skidloader work. I have one sibling, an older brother, Jordan, who resides in Colorado and travels working outages.
My family has a little bit of history in education. My grandma was an elementary teacher for 49 years and retired at the age of 72. She and my grandad reside in rural Burdick. My aunt is the current FACS teacher at Osage City High School and has been there 34 years. She, my uncle, and my cousins reside in Osage. One will be a Junior in High School and the other will be a Freshman at Baker University. I also have an aunt, uncle, and cousin in the Topeka area. We are a close knit family and get together often!
