After graduating from Fort Hays in the summer, I taught 9th grade Drivers Ed and 12th Grade American Government//Economics for 14 years at Eureka, Kansas. I was head basketball coach and head middle school track. I also served as the Assistant Athletic Director for 6 years. I left Eureka to teach and coach basketball and track in Burlington. I later added Cross Country to my coaching endeavors. I’ve been in Burlington for the last 19 years. I am beginning my 33rd year in education.
I have been married thirty-two years and have two children. My daughter, Lacie Stuckey is married to Darrell Stuckey. They have four children, Jayton (7) and Kinsley (5) Isley (3) Caysen 6 months. They live in Lawrence where my daughter cares for my grandchildren and my son-in-law works for the call of greatness and the KU football team. My son Tyrel is married to Jessica Reed (Menard) they have 1 child Roman 5 months. They live in Lawrence, Kansas. Tyrel works as a Physical Therapist and Jessica works as an Occupational Therapist. My wife Debbie teaches science at Burlington Middle school. She is beginning her 14th year at Burlington and her 24th year in education.
I look forward to the start of the 2016-17 school year
I enjoy spending my time with my three grandchildren.
