Current Position:

I first started teaching in Burlington in 2013 as the gifted facilitator at the high school. After one year, I switched to my current position teaching English and a few other subjects. At Burlington I have taught Freshmen English, Sophomore English, Junior English, Senior English, Theatre I, Advanced Theatre, Fine Arts Exploration (Vocal), and Broadcasting. I look forward to many more years of teaching here at Burlington!

Previous Position:

Before I taught at Burlington, I taught seventh grade English for one year at Emporia Middle School.

Family Information:

I come from a very close family who mean the world to me! My parents are amazing, and my siblings are the best! My boyfriend, Jason, is also pretty great since he puts up with my long hours at the school and in the theater.

Growing up on a farm means I love adorable, furry critters. I have two dogs and an always changing number of barn cats. I also take in abandoned baby animals when I have time to take care of them, which basically means the summer.

Personal Information:

When I have spare time (which isn’t often) I like to bake, read, spend time with my family and friends, and sleep! In reality, I spend a great deal of my time outside of the classroom in the theater, but I love it!
